How to Prepare for Delivery Day
A little prep goes a long way. Here's what helps our team get in and out quickly:
- ✓ Clear the path: Move furniture, rugs, or anything blocking the route from your front door to the appliance location.
- ✓ Measure doorways in advance: Standard doorways are 32″–36″ wide. Compare your narrowest doorway against the appliance dimensions from the product listing.
- ✓ Empty your old appliance: Remove all food from the fridge/freezer and clothes from the washer/dryer before we arrive.
- ✓ Someone 18+ must be present: We need an adult on-site to accept the delivery and walk our team to the installation area.
- ✓ Gas ranges, dishwashers, or wall ovens: We can deliver and haul away, but we're not able to do the hookup. Let us know when you call and we'll point you to someone who can.

We do a test run before we leave. We're not able to connect gas lines, hardwire appliances, or install dishwashers or wall ovens — but we're happy to recommend someone local who can, and we can still deliver and haul away regardless.
Can I pick up the appliance myself instead?
Absolutely. You're welcome to pick up from our store at 11917 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97216. No charge, most items are available same-day, and we'll help load it into your vehicle.
How quickly can you deliver?

Do I need to be home for the delivery?
Yes, someone 18 or older needs to be present to accept the delivery and walk our team through the installation area.
Do you deliver to Vancouver, WA?
Yes! Much of Vancouver is within our 15-mile delivery range. Depending on your exact address, it's typically either a $69 or $99 flat fee. Enter your address at checkout for an instant quote.
What if my new appliance doesn't fit?
Please measure before you buy — the appliance opening, your doorways, and the path from the front door to the installation spot. If you share your measurements with us, we can help you find the right fit before you commit. If delivery is attempted and the appliance doesn't fit, the delivery fee still applies. We make the trip regardless of what happens at the door, so measuring in advance is the best way to make sure everything goes smoothly. Call us before you buy if you're not sure — we'd rather sort it out ahead of time.
What if the appliance is damaged during delivery?
It's rare, but if something gets damaged during delivery, call us immediately and we'll make it right. That's the advantage of working with a local family business — you're not calling an 800 number.
